New
Policy!!!
Due
to circumstances we do not understand most of the Specialists we grew to
know and love are no longer with GLVS.
This event has encouraged us to change our policy! Beginning May
1, 2010 all candidates for a grant from the Honey Ferlin Foundation will
need to be approved by Dr. Ramsey first. We will be providing
grants for clients through his veterinary clinic (Animal Medical Center
of Euclid). We will work with Great Lakes Veterinary
Specialists or Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital upon referral
from Dr.
Ramsey.
This
will allow us to provide help for a wider range of animals and hopefully
more of them while continuing to provide services from veterinary
specialists.

From your pets point of view.
1. My life is likely to
last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You
have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your
voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you,
and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if
something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I
have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old You too, will grow old.
10.. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't
bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if
you are there, because I love you so.
~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of
them.
Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters

We are working on a memorial page where we
will post the names of people who have donated to the foundation in the
name of their pet who has gone to join Honey at the rainbow bridge.

The
Honey Ferlin Foundation is a small 501c3 non-profit organization with limited funds. We
provide financial aide for animals in
emergency and life-threatening situations
who's
owners have exhausted all other means of financing,
can't
afford treatment
and
would be faced with having to have their pet put to sleep.
Please
do not contact the Honey Ferlin Foundation about your pet.
Once
your pet has been diagnosed and
Dr.
Ramsey determines that your pet is a candidate for help from the Honey Ferlin Foundation, a
representative from Animal Medical Center of Euclid will
contact us with the details at which time we will offer a grant if funds
are available.
If
Dr. Ramsey refers your pet to GLVS or Metropolitan they will need to
call us with an estimate and at that time we will offer a grant if funds
are available.
The
Honey Ferlin Foundation is not a veterinary hospital and cannot make a
diagnosis related to your pet.
We
do not provide financial
assistance
for routine care.
Due
to limited funds we cannot provide financial assistance for long-term
illness's.
We
need to be assured that all other means of financing has been exhausted
so we
ask that you apply for Care Credit while visiting
Dr.
Ramsey.
If
you have already seen another veterinarian, please bring all of your
pets x-rays and records with you when you visit Dr. Ramsey.
Your donation will become a precious gift to both
animal and man!
We
work on a volunteer basis only so that 100% of your donations go
directly to helping animals and their owners!
